The week before the US Open used to be pretty quiet. The vibe? Players leisurely making their way to town to get a few days of acclimation to the Flushing Meadows courts under their belts before the main draw, lower-ranked players toiling in Qualifying in front of their friends and families only. We at Racquet don't like to pump our own tires, but before our first Racquet House in 2022, you'd be lucky to get an invitation to anything outside of a small private dinner.
Flash forward a few short years—and we definitely started the off-court trend that has at times threatened to overshadow the on-court play. There's an overwhelming amount of things going on this week, from our own Seaport Racquet Club residency to major fashion, media and exo moments.
